Aim:
The aim of the course is to enable participants to put the principles of successful negotiation into practice and to develop procurement negotiation strategies and skills needed to get the best deals in today’s environment.
Content:
- Developing and defining your strategy to improve your procurement outcomes
- Understanding the importance of relationships in long term commissioning
- Gaining an insight into the Commissioner!
- How to avoid any pitfalls when re-negotiating contracts.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
- Understand the four stages of negotiation
- Develop knowledge and skills to confidently be involved in negotiation
- Be able to identify their most desirable outcome
- Be able to deal with potential issues.

Business owners, directors and managers who are thinking about or are already actively tendering.
Delivery methods:
The training will be participatory. It will use small group activities and also some role-play to practice negotiation techniques. A workbook for the session will be available for each participant.
