Online conference: Recession and the third sector
10th March 2010
You are invited to take part in an on-line conference on the Recession and the third sector, from 10 - 12 March 2010.
The conference will focus on the impact the recession has had on the third sector. It will seek to build our collective knowledge of the challenges the sector is facing as well as stimulate debate and ideas as to how the sector and local public bodies can respond most effectively. The conference will involve activities including speeches from key government and third sector figures, idea sharing through an online wiki, and 'hot seat' sessions with experts from the third sector and government.
The conference will begin on Wednesday 10 March with a message from Angela Smith MP, Minister for the Third Sector and is being hosted on the IDeA’s communities of practice website. You can join the conference space now to access the conference agenda and guidance on on-line conferences and introduce yourself to other delegates. To join, follow this link:

There is no cost to you to join and attend the conference, the only thing that we would ask is that you get involved, join in discussions and ask questions in the forum sessions. An online conference relies heavily on contributions from its delegates so the more you put in, the more you and everyone else will get out.
