COMMUNITY LEARNING AND EMPLOYMENT CHAMPIONS

This framework agreement seeks an organisation to engage local volunteers to promote learning and employment to other people in their communities. The volunteer champions will be recruited from a wide range of backgrounds and will need to reflect the ethnic composition of the neighbourhoods. Some of the volunteer champions will face disadvantages themselves, but will see the benefits that new learning and routes to employment can bring. The project will build their confidence and encourage them to foster their own talents and abilities at the same time as promoting learning and employment to their peers.

On the 9th December 2009, the Council will also be holding a bidders day for prospective tenderers. This will give tenderers the opportunity to gain an understanding of the procurement process, the aims and objectives of the project and to raise questions based on the tender documentation for clarification.
